Miss USA stirs controversy, calls healthcare 'privilege'

The newly-crowned Miss USA sparked controversy after referring to health care as a "privilege" rather than a right. The 25-year-old winner Kara McCullough works as a scientist at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Washington, D.C. During the question-and-answer portion of the competition, McCullough was asked if affordable health care is a right or a privilege. I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege. As a government employee, I am granted health care. And I see firsthand that for one to have health care, you need to have jobs," McCullough replied.
