You'll never believe what scientists just discovered on Jupiter
  • 7 years ago
Astronomers just tracked two massive lava waves on Jupiter's volcanic moon called Io. Io contains the most powerful active volcano in the solar system, with many volcanic craters and molten lakes. Telescope observations show the waves stretch nearly 127 miles through the volcanic crater known as Loki Patera. The swells of lava which spread across the moon explain the change in brightness levels of the crater, according to the research.
