Footage has emerged of a woman diagnosed with cancer addressing President Donald Trump after Congress voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act on May 4.

In the video, Toni Zimmerman, 46, from Pennsylvania, USA explains that she had to get health insurance through the Affordable Care Act since her work place doesn't provide one.

She was diagnosed with cancer in September and was able to undergo a mastectomy, get chemotherapy and start radiation in April thanks to her health insurance.

"Last week while I was getting a blood transfusion and the news came out that Congress passed the repeal of the affordable care act," she wrote online.

"This hit me hard in a very confusing and most difficult time of my life."

"While I know my healthcare wasn't taken away that day, It felt to me like it was and they are trying either to take it away or to make it completely unaffordable," she added.

"This message is from my heart it was not rehearsed and I hope it lets people know how the decisions that people make affect real people."
