by Andrew CaringiUr-ine for a treat with this beer.The “Pisner” is a novelty beer perhaps best for the more adventurous drinker. It’s produced from fields of barley fertilized with human urine. The Danish brewery behind the beer collected 50,000 liters of “fertilizer” from the largest music festival in Northern Europe. It’s the first time human waste has been used as fertilizer on such a large scale. Tasters say the Pisner has a “fresh and full” taste. The unusual method has already been dubbed “beercycling.”
