White House fires first female chief usher

The White House confirmed Friday that the first female chief usher in history has been fired. Angella Reid's duties as chief usher were to oversee executive staff, manage events, and assist the first family. She started her political career with The White House in 2011 during the Obama administration. A spokesperson for the White House said chief ushers usually have long tenures, but it is not uncommon for staff to transition with new administrations.
