Bombay HC suspended Salman Khan's 5-year jail term

The Bombay high court on Friday suspended the five-year jail term of actor Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case. The three young female athletes, who survived an attempted suicide bid after alleged harassment by seniors at the SAI Centre in Kerala, are stable now. Rahul Gandhi on Friday appeared in a court at Bhiwandi in connection with a criminal defamation case for allegedly blaming RSS for assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Rajya Sabha proceedings were disrupted by repeated adjournments following uproar by Congress, demanding the resignation of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari following a CAG report alleging irregularities involving loan extended to his family-linked Purti group.
