Prostitution should be legalized says Commission for Women

The Haryana State Commission for Women vice-chairperson Suman Dahiya has called for legalizing prostitution in the state to protect women forced into the flesh trade from harassment. She wrote to the Prime Minister, Haryana governor, chief minister and National Commission for Women chairperson in this regard on Thursday. Dahiya called on the need for a debate on this issue and said NGOs and activists should be involved in handing it more sensitively.
