Niki Sabet at Cocktail Event and Screening of 2 Shorts Embracing Women's Empowerment. A cocktail event and short film screening of the award winning films "Recipe: How to Mend a Broken Heart" in which a woman uses an unusual method to fix her recently broken heart and "Just Three Words" where a man and a woman struggle for love, dominance and submission in their relationship. The films are linked together by the shared theme of women's empowerment. The screening is presented by Ghost Light Pictures. The patio at the W in Hollywood, Ca USA August 29, 2012
Niki Sabet is an Iranian Artist. She was raised between France and Canada. Growing up in an artistic but strict environment she began wood carving at age 8 and was determined to graduate from high school as early as possible. When she turned 16, Niki left home and traveled all over the world, working as a Ford model to support her passion for adventure and creativity. She spent many years living all over Asia, in cities such as Hong Kong, Bangkok and Boracay Island, and later expanded to Europe and South Africa as well.
Upon her return to North America she studied Interior Architecture at the prestigious Ryerson University in Toronto. However in the second year of her studies, she became bored and fed up with the establishment mentality, realizing that her passion was in creating and being hands on instead of mired in academia.
Looking for new inspiration, Niki moved to Los Angeles and soon after made Silverlake's well-known LA FONDRIE her studio.
Currently residing between New York City and Los Angeles, Niki continues to work as a multi-media artist and philanthropist supporting various charities.
