by Andrew CaringiMeet China’s newest firefighter — the largest amphibious aircraft ever built. It can carry up to 370 tons of water, which it collects by gliding along the ocean’s surface. In just 20 seconds of gliding, it can collect 12 tons of water. The AG600 will be used for forest fires, maritime rescues, and marine environment monitoring. It’s due to launch on its first mission in late May.
