Ryan Seacrest Tapped as Kelly Ripa's Permanent Co-Host

Ryan Seacrest is proving he can do it all… as he was just named Kelly Ripa’s new co-host on Live. That’s right, the former American Idol mainstay will relocate from Los Angeles to the Big Apple for the job, but don’t think for a second he’s going to be giving his other work… like hosting his daily drive time radio show for Kiss FM, or hosting the American Top 40 program. He will have a studio built in New York so he can still do those gigs. He’ll also continue to run his Ryan Seacrest Productions – which will stay in LA – from his offices New York. When speaking of working alongside Kelly, Seacrest said that she is a dear friend and a dream broadcaster partner… and he can’t wait to start. He added that he’s been fortunate in his career to be part of some incredible TV programs and he’s excited to join daytime’s top entertainment talk show. The show will be renamed Live with Kelly and Ryan.
