North Korea Conducts Massive Live-Fire Artillery Drill

by Andrew CaringiNorth Korea is once again flexing its military muscle. The country has released footage of a massive live-fire artillery drill, staged to celebrate the 85th anniversary of its military. It’s estimated that up to 400 pieces of artillery were fired, making this North Korea’s largest drill ever. The display of power comes as tensions mount over the country’s nuclear program. The U.S., South Korea, and Japan are all currently conducting naval exercises in the Korean peninsula, with South Korea planning to hold its own live-fire exercise with U.S. destroyers in early May.
