Typhoon Koppu hits Philippines hard, 23000 homeless
  • 7 years ago
Typhoon Koppu has slammed into the main Philippines island of Luzon, killing at least three. So far around 23000 people are forced to leave their homes and chose a safe place. The powerful typhoon tore down the trees and houses and unleashed landslides and floods across a wide area of the Philippines. Troops have been deployed to help residents trapped on rooftops but rising flood waters are preventing even military vehicles reaching many of the worst-hit villages.
