HGTV star sued for $1M by former partners

‘Fixer Upper’ star Chip Gaines is being sued by his former Magnolia Real Estate Company partners for more than $1 million. According to the lawsuit obtained by People magazine, The three of them founded the company in 2007 and operated only out of Waco, Texas An attorney for Gaines called the claims “meritless” and said that people try to take advantage of his client and his wife, Joanna. As the news of the lawsuit broke, Gaines tweeted a Bible verse in response.
