Game on! Nintendo announces the New 2DS XL

In a surprise announcement, Nintendo said they will release another 3DS revision called the New 2DS XL. This new handheld console has the same style as a traditional DS clamshell, but will be smaller and sleeker than a regular 3DS XL. The New 2DS XL will include an Amiibo-compatible NFC reader and extra processing power. Along with the new console, Nintendo announced the games ‘Hey Pikmin!’ and ‘Miitopia’ for the 3DS system. The new system will be released in the U.S. on July 28th and will be priced at $149.99.
