Considered the top overall prospect in the class of 2014 (#1 Scout, #1 Rivals, #1 ESPN), Jahlil Okafor led his Chicago public school Whitney Young High School (27-4 overall) to its first Chicago City Championship since 1998 by defeating eventual Illinois 3A state champs Morgan Park in the title game.
Okafor averaged 21 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.9 blocks, and 1.9 assists per game for the nationally ranked Whitney Young Dolphins and was named 2012-13 Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year.
