CASPER WARE GOES OFF FOR 27 POINTS (5 STRAIGHT 3S) IN 3RD QUARTER OF DREW LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP

On Championship Sunday, BB4L became the first team to run through the regular season and playoffs without a loss since 2007. With a deep roster, which includes (late addition) Stanley Johnson, Terrence Ross and former All-Star Baron Davis, it doesn’t sound shocking that they would be unbeatable, but there’s two other players on the team that deserve just as much credit as those NBA guys for the team’s success: Most Inspirational Player of the Year award winner Van Girard and former Philly 76er Casper Ware.
On Sunday, Ware put on a Jordan-like performance in the championship game by connecting on 5 straight 3-pointers and scoring 27 points during the 3rd quarter against Nick Young and JaVale McGee’s Juglife team. He even gave the crowd a Jordan-like shrug after hitting his 5th 3.
Ware finished the game with a game-high 31 (7 of 9 from 3) and was rewarded with the Finals MVP award. The 5’10 Long Beach alum also recently won the Finals MVP award in France after leading Tony Parker’s ASVEL team to a French League championship.
