Vinod Khanna the heartthrob of bollywood died from bladder cancer. He was hailed in industry as handsome personality. He began his foray into Hindi films as a villain in the film Man ka Meet. Subsequently he became famous for his roles as a villain in films such as Mera Gaon Mera Desh and Mere Apne. Later on, he graduated to the role of a hero where he formed a successful pair with the superstar Amitabh Bachchan in films such as Amar Akbar Anthony and Parvarish. In 1971,Vinod Khanna married Geetanjali. she was the typical Punjabi girl. She was brought up in a traditional Punjabi family. Vinod Khanna was a typical Punjabi with the brash attitude. Punjabis by nature are very vocal in their relationship with women. During her initial years of marriage to Vinod Khanna, she was submissive to a great extent. However, the modern outlook of the Mumbai people took over and she started resenting his escapades from home towards spirituality. Vinod Khanna was involved with Osho Rajneesh. This caused great differences in their outlook culminating in her divorce with Vinod Khanna. Her two sons, Rahul and Akshaye were quite young at that time. Vinod Khanna returned from the sensuously saffron fold of Osho Rajneesh to live up to his reputation. In his second coming he was more in the news for his affairs than for the blockbusters he bestrode. In a succession his name was linked with Sonu Walia, Amrita Singh.He married Kavita Daftary, 30, at a simple ceremony in Mumbai. Daftary comes from bluechip stock, being the daughter of prominent industrialist Sarayu Daftary.
