Tirupati gets Rs 3 crore from devotees on New Year day

This new year Tirumala Tirupati temple got 3 crore rupees from its devotees. Over 80,000 devotees from different parts of the country thronged the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara on New Year's day. As informed by assistant PRO, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam, P Neelima the hundi (offering box) collection was about Rs 3 crore besides gold and other special offerings by devotees on the occasion.
