Pope Francis made a surprise TED Talk appearance on Tuesday, saying the world needs a “revolution in tenderness.” In a video message from the Vatican, the Pope spoke to a crowd of 1,800 at the TED 2017 conference in Vancouver, Canada. He told the audience that he always questions, “why them and not me?” when he travels around and meets the sick and poor. He also called out world leaders and told them to act “humbly,” as power can ruin them “like gin on an empty stomach.” "I would love it if this meeting could help to remind us that we all need each other, and we can only build the future by standing together, including everyone."
