Monkey head transplant done first time in history, surgeon claims successful

A neurosurgeon has claimed that he has performed a successful head transplant on a monkey. Dr Sergio Canevero, the Italian surgeon who announced his plans to perform human head transplants in 2013, says that researchers led by Xiaoping Ren at Harbin Medical University, China, have carried out a head transplant on a monkey.
