LGBT celebrates as Supreme Court agrees to re-examine Section 377

Supreme Court has agreed to re-examine its verdict on homosexuality where in it had upheld the validity of section 377. The apex court has referred to five-judge Constitution Bench to hear curative plea. On December 12, 2013 the apex court had upheld the validity of section 377. by doing so, the court had set aside the Delhi High Court verdict of July 2, 2009 by which it had read down section 377 and decriminalizing consensual sex between the adults of same gender.
