This study found what plane seats are the safest

A study on crash data revealed the safest place to sit on a plane.
Two studies analyzeddata from plane crashes in the U.S. since 1971, and passengers seated near the tail ofthe plane had a 69 percent survival rate compared to other parts of the craft.
Seatsover the wing and in coach had a 56 percent survival rate, while seatsin the front of the plane had 49 percent.
One of the studies also found thatspecifically, middle seats in the rear had the lowest fatality rateat 28 percent.
The least safe seats were those in the aisle of the middle third cabin.
