ISRO launches sixth navigation satellite IRNSS-1F from Sriharikota

ISRO will launch its sixth navigation satellite IRNSS-1F today from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Andhra Pradesh. It will be launched by launch vehicle PSLV C32 on its 34th mission. It aims at providing navigation accurately on par with the US-based Global Positioning System. This will provide independent regional navigation satellite system on par with GPS. Its predecessors IRNSS-1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, and 1E were launched between July 2013 and this January. Each satellite costs around Rs 150 crore.
