The Congress was allotted 41 seats in the DMK alliance and AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad, who signed the agreement on behalf of his party, expressed the hope that the DMK would be able to form the government in Tamil Nadu. So congress will contest in 41 of the 234 assembly constituencies. Tamil Nadu Assembly will be held on May 16. Votes will be counted three days later.
