The Chhattisgarh IAS officer is facing criticism for resting his foot on the steel rail of the hospital bed while talking to the mother of the sick child. He is an an IAS officer of the 2013 batch Dr Jagdish Sonkar and serves as a sub-divisional magistrate of Ramanujganj in Balrampur district. He was was visiting a government hospital and talking to mothers of malnourished children at the facility when the incident happened.
