A Mumbai-based family has donated over 40 kg gold to the Somnath temple in Gujarat on May 8. With this donation, the temple has received donation of over 100 kg of gold from the same family over the last three years which means the family so far has donated gold worth Rs. 30 crore. The Somnath temple located in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat, India, is the first among the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva.
