GST bill is likely to be tabled in Rajya Sabha today almost nine years after the proposal was first made. The govt will be looking forward to wrap up he discussion and pass the bill today itself. The government circulated nine amendments which includes a more robust grievance redressal mechanism, scrapping of 1% additional tax and mandatory compensation to states for revenue loss under the new tax regime.
