Be it Azaan or Hanuman Chalisa chant, it creates noise pollution- Shaan on Sonu’s Azaan rant_2

Recently, popular singer Sonu Nigam’s remark on Muslim community has taken the country by storm.
Indeed, the tweet has raised a lot of eyebrows but it has also divided the Bollywood industry to take a respective stand.
Talking to leading daily, celebrities like Mahesh Bhatt, Shaan, Sona Mohapatra and Kailash Kher have put forward their views.
Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt said, “This is an ‘engineered’ affair. I refuse to be part of this silly conflict.”
Contrary to it, Sonu’s fellow singer, Shaan said, “I support what he has tweeted, not because he’s a friend but because he’s right. The law of the land is equal (for) all. Be it Azaan or Hanuman Chalisa chant or any other religious practice, one must see that noise pollution must be curtailed.”
While, taking a neutral stand, the leading female singer, Sona Mohapatra said, “Any religion or anybody seeking spiritual salvation doesn’t need a plea, be it Muslims, singing the azan or Hindus with their bhajans.”
