Seven years ago, Jami Gong moved to Hong Kong and started the first full-time comedy club in Asia. Today, TakeOut Comedy Club can best be described as the United Nations of comedy. Featuring comics from all over the world, eastern humor meets western in this underground BYOB venue in Central Hong Kong.
Coconuts TV met up with Gong and Vivek Mahbubani, an Indian comedian who performs in English and Cantonese, to find out about the evolution of Asia's comedy scene and the difference between Chinese and Western humor.
