Soon, you will be mandatory to provide your Aadhar card details while booking rail tickets. The linking of train tickets with Aadhar card has long been contemplated by the Railway Ministry. A final policy in this regard will be approved within this fortnight. It would be compulsory to furnish Aadhar Card details for both reserved and unreserved ticket booking for both online as well as counter tickets reservation. The move has been aimed at tackling the menace of touts in bookings. Watch Video.
