Fantastic Four Full Review Transcript:

Fantastic Four is a real half and half of a movie basically the first half I thought was great and the second half I thought was absolutely woeful and there's a reason for that director Josh Trank made this low-budget indie film called Chronicle which is about young kids getting super powers and agonising over how to use them so it's obvious why he got the gig and the first half is good when these young characters get together so you've got Miles Teller from Whiplash who's trying to invent a teleporter you've got Kate Mara from House of Cards who's basically a super-bright brainiac Michael B Jordan from Fruitvale Station who's a tempestuous street racer and Jamie Bell who's a bit of a bit of a sort of rough neck but he's Miles Teller's childhood best friend so them all getting together and the characters and the performances cause all those actors are good are really great but once they get their superpowers after they travel to another dimension that basically looks like a Star Trek set from the sixties things just go daft some movies can take serious like Batman - I'm talking comic book movies of course - but some can't as soon as Miles Teller's starts going whoop and his arm starts stretching out like Stretch Armstrong you can't help but laugh and at the end of the day I'm sorry Fantastic Four fans but The Thing looks like a walking turd this just can't be the real world so when you started off seriously it just feels even sillier by the end.
