Cyclone Varda: Making landfall, 2 killed in Tamil Nadu | Oneindia News

Two people have been died as Cyclone Vardah hit the coast just north of Chennai. The 130 kmph wind speed uprooting trees and shattering the glass in buildings. Strong winds and rain lashed the city. At least numbers of the people have been evacuated from near the sea in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
