India vs Pakistan is not possible in current circumstances, says MHA. Clearing the air over possible bilateral series between India and Pakistan, Minsiter of Home Afairs Hansraj Ahir has claimed that cricket diplomacy between India and Pakistan is not possible under present circumstances. Ahir told reporters "In the current circumstances cricket between India and Pakistan is not possible." MHA has however said that the final decision on this issue rests with the Ministry of External Affairs since it involves a match outside India. MHA also seems to have quashed the media reports, doing the rounds, that the BCCI has sought the clearance of the Government of India to play against the neighbouring country. Earlier, in the day reports claimed that BCCI has sent a mail from last month asking for the government's stand on playing a cricket series against Pakistan.
