North Carolina lawmakers submit bill to ban gay marriage

Four Republican state lawmakers submitted a bill on Tuesday to make gay marriage illegal in North Carolina. The “Uphold Historical Marriage Act” will invalidate all same-sex marriages in and out of state if passed. The legislation goes against the 2015 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that The bill claims that the Supreme Court ruling went against the “decree of Almighty God that 'a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh’...”
