MS Dhoni breaches Code of Conduct, match referee reprimands. MS Dhoni reprimanded by match referee for breaching code of conduct during Pune vs Mumbai Match. Former India and Pune captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been reprimanded by the match referee for breaching the Indian Premier League Code of Conduct. An official press statement revealed the news but did not clarify as to why Dhoni was reprimanded. "During the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, M.S. Dhoni from Rising Pune Supergiant was reprimanded by the Match Referee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.
"MS Dhoni admitted the Level 1 offence for conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game. For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee's decision is final and binding," the IPL press release stated. Pune opened their campaign with a thrilling win over Mumbai at their home ground.
