Saban's Power Rangers, or simply Power Rangers, is a 2017 American superhero film based on the superhero team of the same name, written by John Gatins and directed by Dean Israelite. It is the third film of the Power Rangers film franchise, and is a reboot that features the main characters of the original Power Rangers television series, portrayed by a new cast. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston, and Elizabeth Banks. In the film, Zordon recruits five high school students to form a team that must stop an alien threat led by the witch Rita Repulsa.
It is the first blockbuster film to feature major LGBTQ and autistic superheroes. Franchise creator Haim Saban returned to produce the film under his investment firm. The film premiered at Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles on March 22, 2017 and was released in the United States on March 24, 2017.
PLOT:
Five teenagers with attitude are inexplicably brought together by coincidence or destiny to become the newest generation in a line of warriors known as the Power Rangers. The world rests in their hands as Rita Repulsa, a powerful witch and former Green Ranger, launches an assault seeking the Zeo Crystal with an army of stone golems called Putties and a giant golden monster called Goldar.

Bryan Cranston as voice and motion capture of Zordon: The mentor of the Power Rangers and original ancient Red Ranger. Zordon lived millions of years ago, before becoming a part of the Morphing Grid.
Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa: An alien invader, and enemy of the Power Rangers. Repulsa is a 65-million-year-old former Green Ranger who has gone rogue. She formed the monster Goldar while attempting to steal the Zeo Crystal, an artifact that channels the Morphing Grid dimension and also gives the Power Rangers their powers, for Lord Zedd.
