Ed Sheeran settles $20M lawsuit over hit song Photograph

Ed Sheeran settled a $20 million copyright claim outside of court over his 2014 hit song, Photograph. In 2016, the singer was accused by songwriters Thomas Leonard and Martin Harrington of copying their song, Amazing. The song Amazing was written by Leonard and Harrington and released by ‘X Factor’ winner Matt Cardle in 2012. The songwriters claimed that the two songs shared 39 identical notes The case was dismissed in a California court when the two parties made an undisclosed agreement.
