World Health Day 2017: Let’s talk depression

The World Health Organization (WHO) is celebrating World Health Day by raising awareness of depression. According to the WHO, depression is the leading cause of disabilities and ill health worldwide. They estimated that more than 300 million people in the world are living with the mental disorder. The WHO reported that the depression rates increased 18 percent between 2005 and 2015. WHO Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan The organization wants people to reach out to those with depression and encourage them to seek help.
