Man Rescued After Falling Onto Subway Tracks in New York City

A man who fell off the platform and onto the tracks at New York’s Third Avenue subway stop on April 1 was rescued by a passerby, who climbed down to the rails and lifted him to safety.Video of the rescue was shot by 15-year-old Parker Van de Graaf, who told Storyful that he and his mother had seen the man stumbling and bumping into things on the platform before he fell. The footage shows other subway users helping the man, who appears stunned and barely responsive, onto a bench, before a train pulls into the station. Van de Graaf said paramedics later arrived.The New York Daily News identified the man who climbed down onto the tracks as Jonathan Kulig, a 29-year-old Con Edison employee.
