Uniqlo might close US stores over Trump tariff policies

The president of Japanese retailer Uniqlo threatened to shut down U.S. stores if President Trump's border tax policies are to come into effect. Trump's push for products to only be "Made in America," would force the company to manufacture in U.S. borders. "We would not be able to make really good products [in the U.S.] at costs that are beneficial to customers...It would become meaningless to do business in the U.S," Tadashi Yanai, the head of Uniqlo Trump repeatedly pledged to impose tariffs on foreign imports as part of his campaign promise to Americanize manufacturing.
