Curious elk approaches and licks GoPro in Grand Canyon

A cool video has emerged of an elk inspecting a camera in Grand Canyon National Park, AZ, USA.
The footage, shot last year, shows the elk calmly approaching the GoPro left by campers and sniffing it.
"My wife and I were camping in Grand Canyon National Park. An elk roamed through our campsite," the filmer wrote online.
"I saw the line it was walking and made a big arching hike to get out in front of it. I saw many 'signs' of elk in a straight line."
"I found a spot along the route and set up my GoPro. I walked a long ways off and waited," he added.
"He stopped and turned to look at me. I froze. Then he licked my camera!"
