According to Alec Nathan’s projections on Bleacher Report, he has placed the odds of the team winning the tournament at 1-10 with South Carolina following at 15-1, Stanford at 25-1, and Mississippi State at a distant 35-1.
The Lady Huskies, who have been crowned the champions in the past four straight NCAA tournaments, are on a 111-game winning streak.
The team is scheduled to face first-time Final Four team Mississippi State on Friday, with the winner playing in the final on Sunday.
According to the Hartford Courant, "about 300 fans gathered outside Gampel Pavilion to wish the UConn women well as they headed to Dallas for the Final Four..."
