John Mayer isn’t trying to hide his love for Katy Perry
The singers decided to go their separate ways back in 2015 after three years of dating and Mayer still hasn’t gotten over his former flame.
His new single “Still Feel Like Your Man” has some very poignant lyrics that suggest he is still pining for his lost love. And in an intimate profile for the New York Times, Mayer reveals he wrote the song with Katy in mind.
“Who else would I be thinking about?” Mayer said, “It’s a testament to the fact that I have not dated a lot of people in the last five, six years. That was my only relationship.”
With his 40th birthday approaching, John says he may be ready to settle down with that special someone and start a family of his own. Though, that may be a challenge with his upcoming album release and subsequent U.S. tour. But if there were anyone used to the rigors of touring, it would be Katy Perry!
With Katy recently calling it quits on her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, maybe there is some hope for reconciliation in the near future for these two songbirds!
