Longtime Chicago Bulls' GM Jerry Krause dead at 77
  • 7 years ago
The longtime architect of the great Chicago Bulls' teams of the 1990s, Jerry Krause, died Tuesday at the age of 77. Krause took over as the Bulls' GM in 1985 and held the role until his retirement in 2003. The Chicagoan presided over a team that won six championships with the help of Phil Jackson and the legendary Michael Jordan. The entire Bulls organization is deeply saddened by the passing of Jerry Krause. Jerry was one of the hardest working guys I have ever been around, and he was one of the best talent evaluators ever. Jerry played an integral role in our run of six championships in eight years.
