US limits electronics from airports in 10 Islamic countries

Passengers traveling to the U.S. from 10 airports in Muslim-majority countries, can no longer carry certain electronic devices on planes due to bomb fears. The Department of Homeland Security said travelers coming from those airports can not bring devices larger than a cell phone on the plane. The new restrictions come amid fears that terror groups will attempt to smuggle explosive devices onboard. The airports affected are in Cairo; Istanbul; Kuwait City; Doha, Qatar; Casablanca, Morocco; Amman, Jordan; Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; and Dubai and Abu Dhabi in United Arab Emirates. The restrictions apply only to flights on foreign airlines and not American-operated carriers.
