Penelope Cruz to play famous designer in 'Versace: American Crime Story'

Penelope Cruz will star in FX’s ‘Versace: American Crime Story.’ The third season of the ‘American Crime’ series will feature the 1997 murder of designer Gianni Versace by serial killer Andrew Cunanan. Cruz will play Donatella Versace, Gianni’s sister who took over the Versace brand after his death. ‘Versace: American Crime Story’ will also star Edgar Ramirez and Darren Criss and will air in 2018.
