Researchers warn about the effects of fake weed

Researchers have been charting the use and popularity of synthetic cannabis or 'fake weed.' Fake weed mimics the sensations of traditional weed, but carries more fatal effects like liver damage and death through overdose. The CDC reports increased likelihood of high-risk sex, violence, and drug and alcohol abuse in young adults who use fake weed. Heather Clayton (Lead researcher, CDC Division of Adolescent and School Health) Clayton wants schools to start using preventative strategies for synthetic weed and not just marijuana. Dr. Robert Glatter, an emergency physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
