A heartwarming video has emerged of a woman getting a friend to help her shave her head as she suffers from alopecia.

The footage, shot last month in Toledo, OH, USA, shows the woman explaining why she decided to stop hiding her hair under hats and decided to shave her hair off.

The woman explained she had been hiding hair autoimmune disease for six year and was "done letting it control [her]".
