If you thought February was super warm, you weren't wrong. Last month, the average U.S. temperature was 7.3 degrees warmer than normal. In fact, this winter, which meteorologists classify as December, January and February, was the sixth warmest winter recorded since data began to be collected in 1895. February also had the highest-ratio of record highs to record lows, 11, 743 to 418, according to meteorologist Guy Walton.
