Soy milk may be your breasts' best friend

A new study investigates the link between soy products and breast cancer. Breast cancer affects over 220,000 American women and 2,000 American men every year. Today, in the journal Cancer, findings reported that soy may actually slow down the growth of breast cancer cells. During a 9 year study, researchers concluded that high levels of isoflavones in soy caused a 21 percent decrease in mortality risk. The research also did not spot any detrimental effects of soy on breast cancer therapies. Beneficial intake of isoflavones would be somewhere between half to one serving, which could act as an inflammatory against tumors.
